US Lacrosse 2017 Lacrosse Convention | LAXCON

2017 marks the return of US Lacrosse Convention to Baltimore on January 20-22.  Also known as LAXCON, the US Lacrosse Convention is being held at the Baltimore Convention Center.  The US Lacrosse website reveals that “US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men’s and women’s lacrosse, primarily serving the youth game.” LAXCON is US Lacrosse’s premier event offering coaches, players, officials, organizers and fans from the college, high school and club ranks the opportunity to gather and learn about lacrosse.

From on field demonstrations and clinics to classroom style lectures, LAXCON provides scores of opportunities for seasoned lacrosse veterans and lacrosse newbies alike to study the “Fastest Game on Two Feet”.  Over 100 college, high school and club coaches, trainers, officials and program administrators; representing men’s and women’s lacrosse, will share their knowledge and love of the game with the expected 7000 plus attendees this year in Baltimore.  Information on fundamental skills, practice plans, skill development, offense, defense, safety, academics, officiating, the list goes on and on, will be presented in over 100 different sessions.  Truly, LAXCON is the place to improve you game.

The highlight of LAXCON for Wave One Sports is the Fan Fest.  US Lacrosse and 150 plus exhibitors turn the giant exposition hall at the Baltimore Convention Center into a one stop venue to see the latest uniforms, practice gear, protective equipment, field equipment and just about anything lacrosse.  Experienced Wave One Representatives man our booth and demonstrate to our existing and prospective customers why Wave One is the leader in custom team lacrosse apparel.  It’s a great opportunity for us to meet new people and “put a face with a name” for many of our customers we’re seeing in person for the first time.

LAXCON has been referred to as “the unofficial start to the lacrosse season”.  Lacrosse is a spring sport.  Many college teams kick off their seasons in late January and early February.  High school and youth programs are in full swing by March.  The mid-January timing of LAXCON places it in a perfect position on most lacrosse calendars.

Hope to see you there!
